DAILY BULLETIN FOR FEBRUARY 23, 2018

 

Today’s lunch menu is grilled cheese sandwich or chicken patty on whole grain bun, tomato soup, steamed green beans, vegetable bar, fruit and milk.

 

The meals on wheels volunteer today is Carson Kiehne.

 

Alacarte items are available only for students who have money in their lunch account.

 

Individual wrestling sections in Rochester today and tomorrow. Begins at 9 AM today.

 

Boys’ basketball vs. R-P in Preston.

 

Speech meet in Spring Grove tomorrow. Bus leaves from Preston at 7:10 AM and Harmony at 7:30 AM.

 

There will be NO late bus today or until Spring Sports start on March 12th.

 

Summer Rec is looking for summer rec staff. A full job description can be found on the posting in the office window and on the school website. Applications can be found on the school website and any school office. Application deadline is March 1, 2018.

 

Any junior girls interested in attending girls’ state the week of June 10th, stop in the office for more information.

 

Firearm safety classes will begin in March for anyone 11 years of age or older. Classes will be held in the FC elementary cafeteria in Preston from 6:30-8:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursdays in March beginning Tuesday, March 13th. For more information, see the flyers posted in the hallways or in the office window.

 

Book orders and money are due to Ms. Nielsen today.

 

If you are in grades 7-11 and are interested in learning about what happens behind the scenes of the theatre here at FCHS, there will be a technical workshop on February 26th from 3:30-5:30.  You will learn about the lighting system, the sound system, makeup, set design, and what it means to be a student director.  Upperclassmen will be available to talk to you about how you can be a part of our theatre and will then give tours of the booth and back stage areas.  The spring show is coming up soon and we will need technical crew in all areas.  Hope to see you there!

 

There will be an early bird drawing for those registered for the Post Prom Party by March 15th. Forms are available in the office.

 

No band or choir lessons today.

 

Those who missed out on voting for Sno Daze royalty, please see Mrs. Thomas to cast your vote.

 

SADD will be doing movie night and the dance next week. The dance is $5 per person to attend and $2 per person to attend the movie. Bring your comfy things to the movie. Please pay in the office before each event. Also if you have an out of town guest coming to the dance or movie, please get a form in the office.

 

Senior concessions workers, make sure you show up for the last 2 events if you are signed up to work! Senior class officers, see Mr. Mensink sometime today.

 

8th grade Spanish class will be held in the food science room today.

 

Reminder: 7th and 8th grade girls basketball players should report to the food science room for both lunch periods today.

 

If you want to order a yearbook, see mrs. Mehus ASAP. Our order goes in next week.

 

Lunch will be divided in 2 sections today.  10th through 12th grade will eat lunch from 11:28-11:58 while 7-9th grade students will have study hall. Then from 12:00-12:30, 7-9th graders will eat lunch while 10-12th graders will have study hall. Study Hall locations will be announced near the end of 4th hour (11:20) and they are also posted on the office door. Also remember that attendance will be taken at the study halls and consequences will be given for unexcused absences.
