My name is Maggie Walsh and I am Fillmore Central's elementary physical education teacher. I am in my 30th year of teaching physical education. I grew up in a Arlington Heights, Illinois, which is a Northwest suburb of Chicago. I am a dedicated Chicago Bears "Da Bears" and Cubbie fan! I graduated from Winona State University with an Undergraduate Degree in Physical Education and Health along with a Masters Degree in Education. I live here in beautiful Preston, Minnesota with my husband, Andy and two children, Caitlyn and Mike. Caitlyn is a senior at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota.  My son Mike is a graduate from Winona State University and is in his second year of getting his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.  Go Dukies!!

My goal is for my students to develop the physical competence that increases self-esteem and participation in physical activity for a lifetime. I will do this by using various teaching techniques, while incorporating activities that will keep students interested and motivated in exercise to ensure our students are getting the maximum benefits of physical education.

Please feel free to give me a call, email or drop by and pay me for a visit at the elementary school.
