High School Announcements
WEDNESDAY, May 12th, 2021
  • Early Dismissal today. Periods 1, 2, and 3.

  • Tapestry will have their rehearsal on Thursday morning this week so they can prepare for their concert Thursday evening and Jazz Band will have their rehearsal Friday morning. This is just for this week.

  • The 7-12 Band is marching in the Trout Days parade this Saturday. The parade starts at 4pm but we meet at the elementary school band room parking lot to warm up and practice at 3:15pm that day. We will be wearing our FC polos along with either Khaki shorts or pants or black pants or shorts or jeans. Students are responsible for transporting instruments to Preston for the parade.

  • To end the year strong and fun, there will be a 9th-12th dodgeball tournament next week. This tournament is open to only students in 9th-12th grade, it is free of charge, and the teams will have 6 people, but they need to include at least one person from each gender. The tournament will start on Monday May, 17th during the second lunch. Sign up will end at the end of the day on Thursday, May 13th. If you are interested in making a team, you can sign up on the table right outside the office. Please enter all the members of your team onto the list, along with your team name. Please take a look at the sheet of rules next to that. If you have any questions please contact Zach Haugerud or Jeremy O’Connor.

  • All library books should be returned on or before Friday, May 21.

  • Any Senior who would like any outside and/or college scholarships listed in the Senior Awards Night Program should have this information to Mrs. Olstad in the guidance office no later than Friday, May 14th. Please be specific on how you want it listed.

  • FFA Banquet will be held on May 19th at 6:30pm in the stage gym.

  • The FCHS Drama Department is proud to present The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon! This is a great show full of laughs...and who doesn't need a light hearted comedy these days! We will be streaming a recorded performance available to view at your leisure on May 15-16th (must be viewed within this 48 hour window). If you wish to view the show, CLICK HERE and follow the instructions. Cost is $10 per view. Thank you for supporting the arts at FCHS!

  • Attention cheerleaders or those that would like to be in cheer, there will be a meeting on Monday May 24 at 6 p.m. outside at the high school park shelter.

  • Fillmore Central Senior Awards Night Program will be held Wednesday, May 19th at 7:30 in the Varsity Gymnasium. Local scholarship committees will be in attendance to announce scholarship recipients along with numerous high school groups and organizations who will be presenting certificates and/or awards. Each senior will be allowed 3 guests to attend this event. This event will not be open to the public this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

  • Spring Sports Today (5/12):

    • Golf/Baseball/Softball - bus will leave Harmony at 2:45 pm, drop off at SB field in Preston and then pick up at the Elementary in Preston at 3:05 pm and then return to Harmony and drop off golfers at course/school and then the community center for JH baseball.

    • Track - bus will leave Harmony at 3:10 and Preston at 3:30 for 3:45 practice in Lanesboro

  • Late bus will leave HS at 5:30 pm, pick up at FB field corner at 5:35 pm or community center if need be, then SB field at 5:50 pm and Elem school at 6 pm
