Mrs. Steichen
Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Steichen and this is my eighth year teaching at Fillmore Central.
I grew up in Wykoff, MN, and I attended college at Southwest Minnesota State University, located in Marshall, MN.
I graduated from SMSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and an Endorsement in Pre-Primary Education. I later continued my education and received my Masters Degree in “Teaching, Learning, and Leadership. “
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, crafting, and watching movies.
I am so thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. First grade is such an exciting time in your child’s life and I feel lucky to be a part of it.

Once accepted, you will be able to see all of the fun things that we do in first grade. You will also see announcements and special events that I post. I do my best to post often. I will be sending home Scholastic book orders about once a month. Please use the following link to order. You may also order by filling out the order form on the back of the Scholastic book order itself and return it to school with a check written in the correct amount.
