World Languages - Brandi Mayer

¡Bienvenidos! My name is Brandi Mayer and this will be my fourth year as the Spanish teacher at Fillmore Central. I have many exciting learning adventures planned for the students of Fillmore Central this year and am looking forward to continuing to meet everyone in the community.

I earned my Bachelors of Science in Teaching Spanish from Winona State University in 2014. While I was completing my degree, I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Spain, take a 2-week women's study course to Ecuador and speak at two teaching conferences; the state level Minnesota Council on the Teaching of Languages and Culture and the national level American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.

After graduation, I taught Spanish as a long-term substitute at United South Central High School, Medford High School, and Farmington High School. Between these long-term substitute positions, I was also a day-to-day substitute for many other school districts.

Once again, I look forward to the many adventures that this new school year has to offer. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Spanish class or trips.
